You Are Being Prepared, Not Punished

Marion Branch, REALTOR® · Post 22 of 33

What feels like a delay is often a deposit. That's a lesson I return to constantly in real estate, because this business runs on timing that's rarely convenient. The house you wanted goes to another buyer. The seller takes three extra weeks to decide. Rates tick up right before you're ready to lock one in. It can feel like punishment. It's usually preparation.

Why "not yet" in real estate often means "not this one":

Keep showing up, keep trusting the process, and know that you're becoming exactly the kind of buyer or seller who's ready when the right opportunity actually arrives. I've watched it happen for client after client across DC, Maryland, and Virginia — the delay wasn't the setback. It was the setup.
